Alumni Legacy Endowed Scholarship-UAFS

This scholarship is open to all applicants that have a qualifying relationship with an alumnus of Fort Smith Junior College (FSJC), Westark Junior College (WJC), Westark Community College (WCC), Westark College (WC), or the University of Arkansas Fort Smith (UAFS). The alumni association defines an alum of FSJC, WJC, WCC, and WC as anyone who has successfully passed 14 or more credit hours. An alumnus of UAFS is defined as anyone who has completed a certificate or degree program at UAFS. Qualifying relationship status will be verified by the UAFS office of Alumni Affairs. Recipient shall have one of the following qualifying relationships with an alumnus: a) Parent of an alumnus b) Child of an alum, c) Spouse of an alum, d) Sibling of an alum. Recipient shall provide documentation verifying relationship to alum. Such documentation may include birth certificates, marriage licenses, or tax returns (with financial information removed). Recipient must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours per semester, have at least a 2.75 GPA and be pursuing a certificate or degree program at UAFS. The scholarship is not renewable, but students are eligible to reapply.
